Now

How I’m going:

April 2026.
I feel at the moment I'm in this empty zone of living, closing down because of what's going on in the world and reflecting on how privileged my life is in comparison. Stressing about AI taking my job, shrinking economies and newly established mortgages. I was made redundant 2 years ago, that experience left me vulnerable to feeling anxious.

I had stopped posting my art on instagram, mostly because I couldn't see the point. But friends pointed out they love seeing my work, that it inspires them to try new things and to keep looking for the beauty in this world. So that's where I'm at now. A little life that seeks the beauty in the world.

I'm going on long bike rides, walks in nature and recently part of a Queer bird watching group. These things all add up, it's giving calmness and softness to a background of horrific global noise.

This was left over from my last 'now' in July 2025, but it still fits to conclude.
"Honestly, I’m happiest when I’m outdoors—just being in it."

Location: Melbourne, Australia

Games playing:

  • Flock Around - the demo is so good, can't wait for the full release

Websites visiting:

  • Not really visiting any that much, but I am using Claude to make some pages
  • http://mimobase.com/album_atlas.html - A guy posted his top 20 albums to get you into world music on tiktok, so I used claude to make a page to find them on youtube music (don't use Spotify, it's a funding killing machines)
  • http://mimobase.com/sunset.html I live in Melbourne and on rainy days it can get a bit gloomy where my home office is. So I created this page to run through my data projector, so it feels like warm sunlight and leaves are moving. I project it down the hallway. It's good vibes.

Media Consuming

  • @LushiousMassacr - Drag Queen who goes and drag-vestigates discount stores. Sounds silly (which it so is), but the love and warmth she brings is golden. CREATURE.
  • The Other Bennet Sister - It's not the book (which is just so great) takes a beat to get into it's own groove but lands with lots of heart.
