I am Mark, the man behind Mimobase, I am an Australian artist whose practice spans a diverse range of traditional and emerging mediums. Constantly experimenting, I lean into a playful and curious art practice. Specialising in contemporary portraiture, my art delves into the human psyche from calm to turbulent, the darkness of trauma, and the inner spaces we inhabit. My work seeks to capture authentic, contemporary representations, interpreting and elevating my observations to express queer beauty, contemplation, and the complexity of human emotions.

I am always interested in collaborations and frequently participate in art hangouts and meetups, fostering artistic exchange and community building.
