YouTube Music itself can't be embedded — it refuses to load in a frame. But a normal YouTube player can, so the dock plays the matching YouTube video without leaving this page. To find that video it needs a free YouTube Data API key.
Each new track costs one lookup, and Google allows about 100 a day. Every track you play is remembered, so replays are free. Without a key, tracks open in a small reusable window instead.
